π N.E.X.U.S. β WORK REPORT
Weekly Overview 28.09. β 05.10.2026
Dear friends,
here once again is the overview of the most important developments of the past week.
This week was once again very busy. What is becoming especially clear by now: N.E.X.U.S. is no longer just growing in terms of content, but is increasingly gaining its own structures, tools, communities, and people who take on responsibility.
At the same time, we are working on making onboarding easier. Because especially for people who are new to us, N.E.X.U.S. should not take months to understand.

π 1. Our Own Community Continues to Grow
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Our community platform is increasingly becoming the central meeting place of N.E.X.U.S.
By now, around 90 people are registered there.
An evaluation of 84 members showed:
11 very active
27 active
23 read along quietly
23 were hardly or not at all active after registering
This made it very clear where we need to improve:
The first contact after registration is crucial.
That is why the onboarding process was completely overhauled.
New members now answer four short questions during registration about their interests, skills, and what they would like to contribute to N.E.X.U.S. In addition, they confirm our Charter.
After that, they land directly in the βWelcome & Orientationβ section.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π€ 2. Nova Accompanies New Members
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Our assistant in the community now has a name:
Nova
Nova welcomes new members personally a few hours after their first visit.
In doing so, Nova takes the information from the registration into account and can say, for example:
βWith your experience, Circle 8 β Education might be interesting for you.β
Nova also invites them to introduce themselves in the community and to the weekly welcome call.
The members who had remained quiet until now were also contacted retrospectively.
Every Sunday at 6 PM, there is additionally a short online welcome session for newcomers.
The goal is simple:
No one should register and then be left standing alone in front of a platform.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π 3. Multilingualism Increasingly Becomes Key
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Our international orientation is becoming increasingly practical.
German, English, and Spanish are now not only available on the website and in key documents, but are also deeply integrated into the community.
Posts, comments, wiki pages, as well as voice and video messages can be translated automatically.
This means, for example:
A Spaniard speaks Spanish.
A German can read the content in German.
He replies in German.
The Spaniard receives the answer in Spanish again.
With this, one of the greatest boundaries of international cooperation disappears: language.
With Yusuf, a programmer, the first member who primarily speaks English has now also joined.
This is a small but important step toward a truly international N.E.X.U.S. community.

π± 4. The Community Platform Has Been Significantly Expanded
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Technically, a great deal was implemented this week.
New features include:
πΉ Video messages up to three minutes with automatic transcript
πΉ Automatic translation of wiki pages and their titles
πΉ Direct participation in ongoing online meetings
πΉ βNow Liveβ notifications when a meeting of oneβs own Circle is running
πΉ Automatic conversion of problematic mobile video formats
πΉ Larger font and better readability on mobile and PC
πΉ Individually customizable start page
πΉ Better integration of online events
Our documents are also now mirrored hourly from the Circles into Nextcloud.
As a result, the community, Nextcloud, and our knowledge system are increasingly growing together into a shared working environment.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
πΊοΈ 5. Local Communities Become Visible
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Our N.E.X.U.S. map is now live.
On it, people can see where communities or contact persons already exist.
For privacy reasons, only locations or regions are shownβno private addresses.
In addition, members can register as βSeekersβ if they are looking for people in their region to start a new community.
Things are also happening in practice:
WΓΌrzburg has emerged with Alexander and Bobby.
DΓΌsseldorf is being established with Herbert and Karin.
Santa Cruz in Tenerife is being founded with Tania.
In addition, a dedicated Circle N.E.X.U.S. Tenerife was created to connect local people, enable in-person meetings, and, for example, test local forms of mutual exchange.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π 6. N.E.X.U.S. Gets a Public Showcase
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
An important new feature is our section:
βFrom the N.E.X.U.S. Communityβ
There, selected content from the community can be made publicly visible.
https://community.nexus-terminal.org/nexus-teilen/lesen/schaufenster
In the process, names and personal details are automatically removed.
This allows people from the outside to see:
What is actually being discussed at N.E.X.U.S.?
What are people developing there?
What ideas are emerging?
Members decide for themselves whether their post may be publicly readable.
The principle remains:
Internal stays internal β unless someone explicitly shares it.
The public showcase is also structured so that search engines can find this content. Furthermore, an excerpt of it has been integrated into the homepage of the website.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π£ 7. People Should Be Able to Share N.E.X.U.S. with the Outside World More Easily
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
This week, we also built a simple section with social media comments to share.
The idea behind it:
Many people would like to make N.E.X.U.S. more visible, but do not always know what to write under a relevant post.
For this, there are now simple templates for typical situations.
For example, when someone talks about community, new economic models, education, or societal change.
Important in this regard:
Do not spam advertisements.
No salvation promises.
Respectfully address the actual topic.
Pique curiosity.
We deliberately reduced the structure to a few situations so that a helpful tool does not turn into another complicated manual.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
βοΈ 8. AETHER β Our Economic Model Continues to Be Tested
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
For everyone who is new here:
AETHER is the economic and distribution model of N.E.X.U.S.
It is not simply about a new currency.
Later, AETHER is meant to answer, among other things:
How are basic needs secured?
How are labor and services exchanged?
How do monetary cycles work?
How do we prevent extreme concentration of wealth?
How does such a system respond to crises and scarcity?
Before anything like this is ever deployed in reality, we want to simulate it and test it under widely varying conditions.
This week, an important milestone was reached in this process:
The second major simulation phase E2 has been completed. Out of originally 90 variants, 24 particularly interesting configurations were selected for further testing.
Now E3 begins, in which, among other things, money supply control is examined in greater detail.
It was also determined that the monthly basic income in VITA stipulated in the Blueprint was no longer accurately represented in the technical development.
This was recognized and is now being corrected before we move forward.
This is precisely why we simulate:
Not to prove that AETHER works β but to find out where it does not work yet.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π 9. Universitas Humana β The Education System Continues to Evolve
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Circle 8 is also continuing to work intensively on our education model Universitas Humana.
At the center of this is not the question:
βHow do we make school a little better?β
Rather:
βWhat does a human being need in order to truly develop?β
This now includes topics such as:
πΉ Combining real-world and digital learning
πΉ Emotional self-regulation
πΉ Personal guidance through AI mentors
πΉ Learning through real projects
πΉ Proof of competence instead of pressure for grades
πΉ Lifelong learning
Also newly added is the idea of first clearly describing our conception of the human being.
Because before we talk about education, we should know what kind of human being this education is actually meant to serve.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
β€οΈ 10. Health, Care, and Prevention
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Circle 9 is also continuing to develop.
Here, it is explicitly not just about doctors and hospitals.
Rather, the question is:
What keeps people healthy β and how can people care for one another?
This includes nutrition, exercise, prevention, mental health, nursing care, a good living environment, and self-determination over oneβs own health data.
Another idea is an open knowledge base for naturopathy and herbal knowledge β a kind of βGarden Pharmacyβ.
In addition, thought is being given to how regional care and relief spaces could be established.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π‘ 11. Decentralized Communication in Tenerife
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Work is also continuing on our independent communication structure.
In Tenerife, the second radio repeater is now in test operation.
In the process, stable connections could also be established without direct line of sight.
In the long term, this is intended to create a decentralized network through which people can communicate even when conventional infrastructure fails or is unavailable.
This technology is later intended to work together with our OneApp.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
πΆ 12. Financing Becomes More Transparent
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
We also want to become more open regarding financing.
Our running costs for servers, infrastructure, licenses, and AI are currently around 700 euros per month.
In September, this was offset by about 110 euros in income from supporter contributions; the rest is currently still borne by Josh alone.
That is why a βFinancing & Transparencyβ section is being set up.
There, it should become clear:
What is coming in?
What does N.E.X.U.S. cost?
What is the money used for?
In doing so, we initially want to use a shared funding pool via Ko-fi and simultaneously gain supporters and sponsorships.
Working hours can now also be logged directly in the community.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π 13. N.E.X.U.S. Calendar 2027
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Our calendar project has also become much more concrete.
There is now a dedicated working Circle for this.
The basic principle:
FEEL and UNDERSTAND
One calendar page is meant to make N.E.X.U.S. emotionally visible.
The second page briefly explains the idea behind it.
The twelve months deal, for example, with community, education, health, AETHER, OneApp, decision-making, supply, and our relationship with nature.
The first edition is intended to combine German, English, and Spanish from the very beginning.
The calendar can simultaneously create visibility and contribute to the financing of N.E.X.U.S.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π² 14. Experiencing N.E.X.U.S. Playfully
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
There was also a great response to the idea of making N.E.X.U.S. tangible as a game.
Through this, people could experience:
What happens during scarcity?
How do we organize supply?
How do we make decisions together?
What happens when people only think of themselves?
And what changes through cooperation?
An interesting path is emerging here:
First, a board or card game could be created.
This would simultaneously be a practical test for rules and game mechanics before it might later turn into a digital game.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π€ 15. Very Good Meeting with GemeinWohl-Lobby
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
A particularly nice new contact was made with Gerhard Fischer and Marianne Grimmenstein from GemeinWohl-Lobby.
We had an approximately one-and-a-half-hour, very friendly, and inspiring conversation.
In the process, many shared thoughts and points of contact became visible.
There is a desire from both sides to continue the exchange and explore possibilities for collaboration.
A new contact was also established with Manuel Jochas from Thinkpact Zukunft, with interesting overlaps in community, self-organization, and regional resilience.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π° 16. Communication and Media Are Being Set Up More Broadly
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
Responsibility is also beginning to be distributed in public relations.
Elisa and Bobby are now actively working on press relations.
In addition, Jimmy Gerum from LeuchtturmARD initiated a dedicated N.E.X.U.S. Circle on the topic of
βPeace Needs Diversity of Opinionβ
It is intended to focus on journalistic ethics, diversity of opinion, and a functioning separation of powers in the information sector.
Critical voices within the community are also deliberately made visible and discussed.
Because N.E.X.U.S. should not become a space where only agreement is welcome.
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
π WHAT I TAKE AWAY FROM THIS WEEK
ββββββββββββββββββββββ
For me, this week shows very clearly:
N.E.X.U.S. is slowly transforming from a project into a real network.
We now have our own community.
People are beginning to build local communities.
New members are guided more purposefully.
People from different countries can talk to one another without speaking the same language.
Education, health, and economy are being further developed by dedicated Circles.
Our infrastructure is becoming more independent.
And responsibility is slowly beginning to be distributed across multiple shoulders.
At the same time, I see our greatest challenge ever more clearly:
We must not keep creating more and more possibilities while losing people along the way.
N.E.X.U.S. must remain understandable despite its depth.
A newcomer does not first have to understand AETHER, DAO, OneApp, Mesh, or 400 pages of Blueprint.
They should first understand:
Here, people are trying to build a more livable future together β and I can help shape a part of it.
That is exactly what we are working on right now.
